Southside Cleanup is a Black and Brown youth-led nonprofit dedicated to revitalizing the Southside of Chicago through environmental action, community care, and deep collaboration with local youth and residents. Our mission goes beyond removing debris from our streets—we provide essential resources such as food, cleaning, and sanitation supplies while centering the voices and needs of the people we serve.

We work directly with Chicago students—from K–12 to university level—and community members through in-school activations, neighborhood initiatives, and grassroots organizing that amplify local causes, foster civic engagement, and empower the next generation to take ownership of their communities. As both a resource and ally, Southside Cleanup stands beside those striving for justice, equity, and sustainable change across our neighborhoods.
